The Work Conditioning Program at
Sport and Spine Rehab consists of progressive exercises and
activities designed to increase the client’s strength and
endurance. Clients will also benefit from ongoing education about
proper body mechanics and ergonomic suggestions that may help
prevent re-injury. All exercises and activities are designed to
ensure safe and prompt return to work or advancement to the work
hardening program. Clients in the work conditioning program will
meet for 1-3 hours for 3-5 days per week, depending on physician
recommendations or condition of the client.
If the worker continues to be unable to safely
and effectively return to their job task after a reasonable attempt
at work conditioning then Sport and Spine Rehab recommends the worker be advanced to
STEP #3, Work Hardening.
